Mimir raises $600K to automate e-commerce ops for 60 brands

A one-year-old Oslo startup just closed its first outside capital, and the traction numbers are already worth paying attention to.

Mimir, founded in 2024 by Jørgen Vartdal Halse, Jens Kristoffersen, and Øyvind Monsen, raised a $600,000 pre-seed round led by Sondo Capital. Nordic angel investors from VILLOID, Kry, Enode, and Whitson also participated.

What It Does

Mimir is an AI-native platform built specifically for B2C e-commerce operations. It handles order management, deliveries, returns, and product inquiries end-to-end, integrated into each brand’s existing systems and workflows.

The platform currently processes around 250,000 customer conversations per month for approximately 60 brands across five countries. Clients include VILLOID, HiFi Klubben, and Holzweiler.

Where the Money Goes

According to the company, the funding will go toward accelerating product development, doubling the team size, and pushing the platform beyond customer support into broader e-commerce operations automation.

“Customer support is only the starting point. Our vision is to automate the operational work that slows e-commerce teams down, while giving consumers instant, personalized help around the clock.” — Jørgen Vartdal Halse, CEO and Co-Founder, Mimir

The Investor View

Henrik Hatlebrekke, General Partner and Co-Founder at Sondo Capital, cited the team’s technical depth and the market pull they have already demonstrated as the core reasons for backing the round.

For operators watching the e-commerce tooling space: an AI-native ops layer handling a quarter million conversations a month, at the pre-seed stage, is an early signal worth tracking.
