CardioComm Solutions, Inc. (TSXV: EKG) has received Health Canada clearance for its GEMS™ Rhythm ECG artificial intelligence software. This innovative technology is designed for automated detection of multiple arrhythmias and morphology abnormalities.
Key Features of GEMS™ Rhythm AI
- Detection of atrial fibrillation
- Analysis of QT and QTc intervals
- Identification of tachycardia, bradycardia, and pauses
- Measurement of average heart rate, PQ and QRS intervals
- Recognition of different heartbeat patterns (PACs, PVCs, bigeminy, trigemini)

This clearance marks a critical milestone in CardioComm’s product roadmap, advancing its GEMS™ software towards an all-in-one, device-agnostic ECG software solution.
Implementation and Future Developments
- GEMS™ Rhythm will initially be offered with GEMS™ FLEX ECG software for event recorders
- It will support automated analysis of 1-3 leads of ECG data for up to 30 days
- Future integration with GEMS™ Holter and GEMS™ LTCM solutions for continuous ECG monitoring from 24 hours to 14 days
- Near real-time event triggering capabilities
CardioComm’s comprehensive GEMS™ solutions aim to provide hospitals, physician groups, and commercial laboratories with flexible, customized patient care options in a fully integrated, device-agnostic software package.
