Dentons, a global law firm, is integrating generative AI to transform how they handle contracts. The firm’s initiative uses an AI model to automate templates in Contract Express, a contracting platform designed to optimize and expedite contract generation.
Luis Belart spearheads this innovation in Europe, along with Mar Sánchez-Contador and Icíar Pérez-Puente in Spain.
Dentons has trained a Large Language Model (LLM) to understand the coding language of Contract Express. This allows the AI-driven bot to create coded templates with a single command.
The prototype, accessible to a specific group of lawyers, enables them to automate documents without needing programming skills. The output is later reviewed for quality control in Word.
Břetislav Šimral, Director of Innovation and Intelligence at Dentons, highlights that traditionally, template creation by staff could take up to two days. The new AI bot reduces this time to mere minutes.
The integration of AI decentralizes and democratizes document creation, allowing any lawyer within the firm to generate templates swiftly and efficiently.
This AI-powered tool reflects Dentons’ commitment to innovation and efficiency. Luis Belart emphasizes that it aims to enhance the firm’s ability to address complex and strategic aspects of legal services.
