Salesforce is adding another AI marketing layer to its stack. The company announced it will acquire Braze, an AI-powered marketing platform, for nearly $5.7 billion in enterprise value at $47.50 per share.

The Deal

The acquisition is set to close starting February 2027. Braze builds tools for marketers and positions its platform around AI-driven customer engagement.

The Operator Takeaway

If you’re a Braze customer or evaluating it, expect this to fold into the Salesforce ecosystem over the next year or two. For operators running marketing automation stacks, independent Braze is likely on borrowed time. The safer bet is watching how Salesforce integrates Braze’s capabilities into its existing Marketing Cloud before committing to any long-term contracts on either platform.
