No programming background? You can still build real AI automation workflows. Great Learning put together a list of eight courses and programs — four free, four paid — that take non-technical professionals from basic workflow concepts to multi-agent AI systems.

The Free Four (3 hours or less each)

  • Getting Started with Agentic AI (3 hours, Great Learning Academy): Conceptual intro to AI agents — planning, reasoning, memory, and execution. No tools, just foundations. Free to learn; certificate requires a fee.
  • n8n Workflow Automation for Beginners (3 hours, Great Learning Academy): Hands-on visual workflows connecting Google Sheets, email, and forms. Covers JSON data flow, triggers, and a light intro to AI agents inside n8n. Free to learn; certificate requires a fee.
  • ServiceNow Workflow Automation (1.5 hours, Great Learning Academy): Focused on enterprise service requests, approvals, and notifications. Covers tables, records, roles, incidents, and service catalogs inside ServiceNow. Free to learn; certificate requires a fee.
  • Building Intelligent AI Agents (3 hours, Great Learning Academy): Introduces CrewAI and LangGraph for multi-step agent workflows. More technical than the others — basic programming familiarity is useful for practical implementation. Free to learn; certificate requires a fee.

The Paid Four

  • No-Code Generative AI and Agentic AI, Johns Hopkins University (12 weeks): Covers large language models, prompt engineering, RAG, NLP, AI evaluation, agent orchestration, and multi-agent systems using n8n. Includes two business projects and nine-plus case studies. Awards 9 CEUs from Johns Hopkins on completion.
  • No Code AI and Agentic AI, MIT Professional Education (14 weeks): Adds predictive machine learning to the mix — regression, classification, clustering, recommendation systems — alongside Generative AI and agentic workflows. Tools include KNIME, n8n, Google AI Studio, and Claude. Awards 10 CEUs from MIT Professional Education.
  • Post Graduate Program in AI Agents and Generative AI for Business Applications, UT Austin McCombs (13 weeks): Covers RAG, vector databases, single and multi-agent architectures, MCP concepts, agent security, and responsible AI. Offers a no-code track plus optional finance and marketing specializations. Awards CEUs from Texas McCombs.
  • AI-Native Professional: Workflows and Agents for Productivity, Great Learning (6 weeks): The most practical entry on the list. Uses ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Gamma, Google Sheets, and Activepieces to build trigger-based workflows for everyday work tasks. Ends with a capstone project. Awards a Professional Certificate from Great Learning.

The free courses are the obvious starting point. If you want structured credentials from a recognized institution, the Johns Hopkins or MIT programs are the most credential-heavy options. The UT Austin program goes deepest on agent architecture for business use cases. Great Learning’s six-week paid program is the fastest path to practical, tool-level productivity.
