Amazon sellers have a new set of AI tools to work with. The company upgraded its Seller Assistant with persistent memory and rule-based automated workflows, and simultaneously launched a Selling Partner plugin that pipes Amazon data into external AI tools including Anthropic’s Claude.
What Changed in Seller Assistant
The upgraded assistant now retains memory of a seller’s pricing patterns, inventory cycles, and growth goals across sessions. That context lets it connect signals across inventory, advertising, listings, and compliance rather than treating each query as a fresh start.
The bigger operational addition is automated workflows. Sellers can configure the assistant to monitor product ratings, inventory levels, or competitive pricing on a continuous basis. Depending on the permissions set, the system either surfaces recommendations or acts directly. Every action is logged to an audit trail, and sellers retain approval control. Amazon also shipped pre-built workflows for account health monitoring, order summaries, pricing trend analysis, and product expansion opportunities.
The Selling Partner Plugin
The new plugin connects Amazon seller data, including listing details, performance metrics, inventory levels, and sales analytics, to external AI agents. The integration is not read-only. Agents running through the plugin can, subject to seller approval, adjust prices or manage listings directly.
The plugin launched first inside Amazon Quick and is now in beta with Anthropic’s Claude. Amazon says sellers can connect their accounts to Claude without writing any code. The plugin is currently live for sellers in Amazon’s US stores, with international expansion planned. Amazon also confirmed it intends to add more third-party AI tools over time.
Free Tier and Scale
Amazon launched Seller Assistant in 2023. The company reports it has since reached more than 90% of Amazon’s selling partners worldwide in their native languages, with hundreds of thousands of active users. Sellers reportedly accept its recommendations more than 90% of the time.
On pricing: every primary account holder globally can claim a free 12-month Amazon Quick Plus subscription through December 31, 2026. Each primary holder can also nominate two co-workers for a free year. Amazon Quick can pull in data from outside Amazon too, including finance, marketing, and manufacturing sources, to support more specialized agent builds.
