AWS signs multi-year deal to bring Superblocks vibe coding to Bedrock
AWS just signed a multi-year partnership with vibe coding startup Superblocks. The deal gives AWS customers access to Superblocks tools inside a private cloud environment, with integrations across Amazon Bedrock, Amazon EC2, and Amazon Aurora.
What Superblocks Brings to AWS
Amazon Bedrock is AWS’s platform for building and deploying generative AI applications and agents at production scale. It provides access to a range of fully managed models through a unified API. Superblocks plugs into that infrastructure so enterprise teams can build, secure, and deploy AI applications without data leaving their AWS environment.
The Aurora integration is notable for operators thinking about database overhead. According to the announcement, Superblocks will use Amazon Aurora to spin up databases for new AI-generated applications, with scale-to-zero capabilities inside the customer’s own environment.
The Governance Angle
The stated reason for the partnership is shadow IT containment. AWS described the problem directly: as vibe coding spreads across the enterprise, organizations face growing AI sprawl. Superblocks positions itself as both the coding layer and the governance layer, letting business teams ship IT-approved applications on a self-serve basis while IT and security teams retain central control over auditing and access.
The deployment model is called Cloud-Prem. All data and code stay within the customer’s AWS security perimeter rather than routing through Superblocks’ own infrastructure.
Where to Access It
Superblocks will be available through the AWS Marketplace. AWS noted it plans to host a Johannesburg Summit later this month, where additional details for local customers may surface.
