Phishing kits, AI-generated messages, and automation have made email attacks faster and harder to detect. Barracuda Networks just launched Barracuda Integrated Email Protection, a new ICES product built to cover Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments across the full attack lifecycle, not just at the point of delivery.
What it does
The product runs on the BarracudaONE platform and supports both single-customer deployments and multitenant MSP operations. Key capabilities include:
- Post-delivery message clawback: removes malicious messages after they hit inboxes, including links that turn malicious after delivery
- Continuous AI threat reassessment: re-evaluates email threats in real time rather than treating delivery as the final gate
- Unified verdict explanation: consolidates signals from Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Barracuda into one interface
- Bailey AI assistant: explains security decisions in plain language so analysts can understand what happened without jumping between tools
- Tenant-wide remediation: lets MSPs contain and remediate issues across all customer environments at once

The MSP angle
Brian Downey, Barracuda’s SVP of product management, told MSSP Alert the first measurable win for partners should be reporting. Built-in value tracking shows threats stopped before, during, and after delivery, which gives MSPs something concrete to show customers at quarterly business reviews without building custom reports.
On the operational side, Downey said the product is designed to reduce the manual work of chasing threats across fragmented tools. BarracudaONE pulls telemetry across email, identity, network, data, and applications into one place, which cuts down on the time analysts spend reviewing signals separately.
Pricing
For existing Barracuda email security customers, the company says Integrated Email Protection is available at the same price as their current AI-based email security tools. No price increase for expanded capabilities. The product also runs alongside Microsoft and third-party secure email gateways, so MSPs do not have to rip out existing infrastructure to deploy it.
Barracuda is also connecting the product to its Managed XDR and data protection portfolio, giving partners a path to package email security with broader detection, response, and backup services.
