Cloudflare just extended its AI agent sandbox support to Cursor. Developers and platform teams can now run Cursor Cloud Agents on Cloudflare Sandboxes, keeping agent execution inside secure, customer-controlled infrastructure.

What Changed

The integration adds Cursor to a short list of AI coding agent platforms Cloudflare already supports in sandboxed environments. The existing list includes Devin Outposts and Claude Managed Agents. Cursor Cloud Agents is the newest addition.

Why Sandboxes Matter for Agentic Code

Running an AI coding agent on shared or uncontrolled infrastructure is a trust problem. The agent reads files, executes commands, and writes code. Sandboxes isolate that activity so the blast radius of a bad run stays small. Cloudflare’s pitch is that teams get that isolation without managing the underlying compute themselves.

The Operator Takeaway

If your team uses Cursor for AI-assisted development and you’ve been nervous about running agents with broader file or network access, this gives you a more controlled option. The pattern Cloudflare is building here, standardized sandbox infrastructure for multiple agent runtimes, suggests this list will keep growing.
