Google Pomelli builds your brand kit from a URL — for free

Google Labs just shipped a small business marketing tool called Pomelli. The pitch is simple: give it your website URL and it does the brand work for you.

What Pomelli Does

Pomelli scans your site and builds what Google calls your Business DNA: your fonts, colours, values, and existing imagery. From there it generates marketing assets that are supposed to stay visually consistent with what you already have.

The asset types it can produce:

  • On-brand campaigns
  • Product photos
  • Short animations
  • Simple websites
  • Brand books

Exports come in standard formats including PDF, MP4, and GIF. The tool also connects to Google Drive, Google Workspace, and Gmail.

️ How It Works

The workflow runs in three steps:

  1. Enter your website URL. Pomelli pulls your Business DNA automatically.
  2. Generate campaign ideas based on that brand profile.
  3. Edit and export the branded assets you want.

The idea is that a solo operator or small business owner who does not have a design team can go from URL to finished marketing material without touching a design tool.

⚠️ What to Know Before You Try It

Pomelli is a Google Labs experiment, not a finished product. It’s English-only for now. You need to be 18 or older to use it, and access is limited to supported countries. It’s currently free to use, which fits the experimental framing.

If your brand assets are inconsistent or your website is outdated, the Business DNA it pulls will reflect that. Garbage in, garbage out still applies. But for a solopreneur who has a reasonably clean site and needs quick campaign visuals, this is worth a test while it’s free.
