Meta has acquired Conductor, a startup specializing in multi-agent AI coding orchestration. The deal is aimed at folding Conductor’s technology into Meta’s future software development tooling.
Conductor’s core focus is coordinating multiple AI agents working together on coding tasks, a capability Meta wants to bring in-house rather than build from scratch. No acquisition price was disclosed.
For developers and indie builders watching the AI coding space, this is another signal that the big platforms are consolidating the agent orchestration layer fast. Tools that operate independently today may end up inside a walled ecosystem by next year.
