n8n is heading into one of the largest enterprise software ecosystems on the planet. The workflow automation tool will be available as a fully managed environment inside Joule Studio on the SAP Business AI Platform, with general availability scheduled for Q3 2026.
What the integration actually does
SAP developers will be able to build and orchestrate AI workflows visually from the n8n canvas without leaving Joule Studio. The canvas supports branching, loops, error handling, retries, and agentic systems, including human-in-the-loop checkpoints and PII detection guardrails.
Because the embedded environment runs on SAP’s cloud infrastructure, data stays within the systems SAP already governs. Identity, access control, and operations are handled by SAP, so teams do not need to configure anything before they start building.

The integration catalog angle
n8n brings more than 1,000 integrations to the partnership. Over half of those connections are built and maintained by technology partners rather than n8n itself, so the catalog keeps growing independently. For tools or legacy systems without a dedicated node, HTTP request and webhook nodes cover anything with an API.
A new set of SAP-specific nodes is in development as part of the partnership. Early additions will include governed access to third-party LLMs and SAP’s own AI models via SAP AI Core infrastructure.
Who this opens the door for
The partnership is designed to broaden participation beyond SAP-certified developers. Business analysts and data teams will be able to design workflows using natural language in Joule Studio and refine them visually, accessing SAP data without coding directly against SAP systems.
This partnership brings n8n into one of the largest enterprise ecosystems in the world. For SAP developers, it means a visual way to build and orchestrate AI workflows across their full tech stack.
