OutSystems has made Agent Experience generally available, giving enterprise development teams a way to use AI coding agents including Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and Kiro inside a controlled software development environment. The launch was announced at OutSystems World Tour Las Vegas on 7 October.
What the Platform Does
Agent Experience lets external coding agents operate at the system design level. OutSystems generates the underlying code deterministically from there, which the company says keeps application architecture, data relationships, and existing business logic consistent across projects.
Developers keep their preferred coding tools. The platform wraps those tools with controls covering security, automated testing, and application lifecycle management. According to OutSystems, the agents account for existing system dependencies, which is meant to reduce fragmented code and limit technical debt.
“Coding agents have unlocked unprecedented velocity, but the real friction is operational overhead and fragmented code,” said Woodson Martin, CEO of OutSystems.
Early Results
Three early users are named in the announcement:
- YESCO (sign manufacturer): compressed software release cycles to two weeks using Claude Code with Agent Experience.
- Lowenstein Sandler (US law firm): built a production-ready Litigation Matter Tracker in under three hours.
- Normal (Danish retailer): a developer completed an application in two weeks, down from a previous timeframe of around six weeks.
Deployment and Vertical Tools
The platform supports public cloud, private cloud, on-premise, and hybrid deployments. OutSystems also announced Agentic First Notice of Loss, an insurance offering scheduled for November, alongside an Insurance Agent Kit with pre-built claims agents already available through OutSystems Forge. These join the company’s existing Agentic Loan Applications for banking.
Both vertical toolkits can be customised through Agent Experience using any of the supported coding agents.
