Ramp and Stripe have both built internal platforms that let non-engineers create websites and internal tools. According to Pragmatic Engineer author Gergely Orosz, both platforms are already gaining traction inside those companies.
Orosz frames this as a new trend he calls “internal vibe-coding apps” and expects more mid-sized companies to follow the same pattern: giving non-technical employees a structured way to build lightweight internal tooling without pulling engineering resources.
The operator implication is straightforward. If two of the more engineering-dense fintech companies in the industry are routing around their own eng teams for internal tooling, the case for low-code and AI-assisted internal builders gets stronger at every company below that scale. Watch for more of these platforms to surface, whether homegrown or as SaaS products positioning themselves as the internal vibe-coding layer.
