Salesforce Winter ’27: Agentforce and 40 new MCP tools for marketers

Salesforce dropped its Winter ’27 release notes, and the marketing-relevant changes center on two things: Agentforce agents that handle campaign work end to end, and a significantly expanded MCP server for Marketing Cloud Engagement.

The Agentforce Campaign Additions

Salesforce launched two agents that automate personalized campaigns from strategy through content creation. A third specialized agent targets high-volume lead generation and nurturing specifically.

The problem these address is one most marketing teams know well: taking a single campaign strategy and translating it into coordinated, multi-channel execution without bouncing between fragmented tools. According to the release notes summary, that operational ping-pong is what the new agents are designed to cut out.

40 New MCP Tools for Marketing Cloud Engagement

Salesforce added 40 new tools to the Marketing Cloud Engagement MCP server. The expanded toolset lets AI assistants manage automations, content folders, and records directly inside Marketing Cloud.

For teams already running AI assistants in their workflows, this is a meaningful surface area increase. More tools mean more tasks that can be handed off without a human switching into the platform manually.

The Operator Takeaway

If you’re running Salesforce Marketing Cloud at any scale, the MCP expansion is the most immediately actionable piece. Forty new automation-adjacent tools is a substantial addition to what AI can touch inside your instance. The Agentforce campaign agents are worth watching if your team spends significant time on campaign ops rather than strategy.
