One-off AI prompts are a starting point, not a strategy. Eric Siu walked Neil Patel through three AI marketing loops that Single Grain actually has running in production, and the gap between a prompt and a loop is where the compounding happens.
The Three Loops
CRO loop: Continuously tests and improves conversion rate elements without a human kicking off each cycle. It reports back, identifies what moved, and queues the next test.
AEO/SEO content loop: Drafts top-of-funnel, mid-funnel, and bottom-of-funnel content and pushes it directly to the CMS. No copy-paste handoff between the AI output and the publishing platform.
Sponsorship negotiation loop: Handles the back-and-forth of sponsorship deals and works with a $25,000 minimum threshold on its own. The loop manages the negotiation without a human in every email thread.
Stop Routing Math to LLMs
A separate point from the episode that’s worth flagging: LLMs are the wrong tool for arithmetic. The recommendation is to route any math-heavy task to cheap deterministic systems instead of burning tokens on calculations that a simple script handles accurately every time.
The Design Principle
The throughline across all three loops is that they report back and improve. A loop that monitors its own output and adjusts beats a prompt you fire once and forget. That feedback cycle is what makes the difference between automation and compounding automation.
