Google and Kaggle just wrapped their biggest free AI course yet. The 5-Day AI Agents: Intensive Vibe Coding Course pulled in over 353,000 registered participants and covered the full arc of building, securing, and deploying production-grade AI agents in the cloud.
This was not a passive video series. It was a live, multimodal sprint built around the premise that developers are ready to move their prototypes from vibe to live.

What Vibe Coding Actually Means Here
Vibe coding, as framed in this course, is programming through natural language. The curriculum guided participants through designing AI agents using conversational prompts rather than traditional syntax-first development.
The five-day structure covered the full production lifecycle: design, security, and cloud deployment. The goal was a finished, deployable agent by the end of the week, not just a notebook experiment.
Discord Was the Real Classroom
The 392,000-person Kaggle Discord was where the actual learning happened. Participants swapped code, debugged together, and formed study groups in real time alongside the codelabs and technical whitepapers.
That number matters. It means the course wasn’t a one-to-many broadcast. It was a working community, which is a different kind of learning environment than a traditional MOOC.
Capstone Highlights
Over 6,000 projects landed from more than 12,000 active capstone participants. The range was wide:
- Palimpsest: A historical manuscript transcription pipeline built as a digital humanities tool.
- Project ARIES: A space-weather research system designed for scientific analysis.
