66% of agency clients want AI search visibility. Most can’t track it.

Your clients are already asking. According to AgencyAnalytics’ 2026 Marketing Agency Benchmarks Report, based on responses from 494 agency professionals, 66% said helping clients appear in AI-driven search is the top new service clients are requesting.

The Measurement Gap

The ask is clear. The infrastructure to answer it mostly is not. The same report found that 48% of agencies can’t reliably track people who discover a brand through AI tools, and 47% can’t attribute conversions across the multi-session journeys AI-assisted research creates.

That’s a significant blind spot when a client asks whether they show up in ChatGPT or Google’s AI Overviews and expects a real answer backed by data.

What AgencyAnalytics Shipped

AgencyAnalytics built an AI Tracker feature into the same platform more than 7,000 agencies already use for reporting. The goal is to put AI search visibility alongside the traffic, leads, and revenue data agencies already track, rather than in a separate tool that requires another login and another export.

The feature launched in July 2026 as part of a broader set of AI-focused additions to the platform. AgencyAnalytics CEO Joe Kindness is named as the source behind the report findings and the product direction.

The Operator Takeaway

If you run an agency or freelance on SEO and content, this is the client conversation you’re already having or will have by end of quarter. The agencies that can answer “yes, you appear, here’s the data” will retain clients better than those who shrug and point at organic traffic. Getting your measurement stack in order before the next renewal conversation is the practical move.
