The Department of Justice has spent close to a year on an antitrust investigation of Andreessen Horowitz. The focus is on partners holding board seats at competing AI companies simultaneously. Ben Horowitz at Databricks and Martin Casado at Fivetran are named as examples. If the probe leads firms to exit boards or decline seats going forward, the downstream effects touch information rights, term sheet structure, and board composition for any founder raising now. The underlying allegations have not been disclosed publicly.

X released an MCP server that connects Grok, Grok Build, Claude Code, or other AI agents directly to X Ads accounts. The 23 available tools cover campaign creation, interest and location targeting, adding or removing targeting parameters, creating and promoting ad posts, checking performance and reach, and updating or activating campaigns. Agents pull real campaign data and surface what’s working.
Notion Skills: teach your agent how your team works
Notion added a Skills feature that lets users encode team processes into pages that agents can read before acting. Skills are just Notion pages with processes, examples, references, and preferred formats. Share them like any other page. The goal is to stop agents from starting from scratch every session.
Build vs. buy when building got cheap
A detailed post argues that AI has made custom builds economically viable in ways they weren’t for most of the last two decades. The counterpoint it raises: risk, security, and total cost of ownership haven’t changed. Auth is the specific example. The reasons not to build auth in-house remain the same as they always were.
