Cursor Start brings AI coding to India at ₹649/month
Indian developers who passed on Cursor’s AI coding tools because of the $20/month Pro price now have a much cheaper entry point.
On July 27, Cursor launched Cursor Start, a India-specific subscription priced at ₹649/month (roughly $7). That’s well under half the cost of the standard Pro tier. TechCrunch first reported the launch.

The plan is built specifically for the Indian market. Cursor hasn’t released a similar regional pricing tier elsewhere, making this a targeted move to lower the barrier for one of the world’s largest developer populations.
