Meta used Cannes Lions 2026 to announce what it’s calling an end-to-end AI advertising platform covering creation, testing, and launching, all in one place. The headline number: advertisers are now seeing $4.13 in revenue for every $1 spent, a 25% increase since 2022, according to Meta’s blog post.
What Changed
The platform uses product catalog data to let AI build and optimize ad formats for each individual viewer in real time. Meta’s pitch is that the advertiser’s job shifts from making creative to managing context: feeding the system the right catalog data, brand assets, and creative materials.
New additions announced at the event include brand memory, enhanced text generation, and translation tools. Meta also launched a shared collaboration space where marketers can make campaign changes together.
Agency Access and Creator Updates

A new WPP partnership opens the platform to agencies, letting third parties run ads directly for their clients inside the same system. On the creator side, Meta is merging Creator Marketplace and Partnership Ads Hub into a single Meta Creator Marketing Hub. Facebook creators are also being added to Creator Marketplace, which previously only included Instagram creators.
The Operator Takeaway
If you run paid ads on Meta, the direction is clear: the platform wants you managing inputs (catalog quality, brand context, creative assets) rather than manually building individual ads. The $4.13 return figure comes from Meta’s own blog, so treat it as a reported benchmark rather than a guarantee. That said, the structural shift toward AI-optimized per-viewer ad formats is real and already in market.
