Build an AI SEO SaaS in Next.js with Stripe and GPT-5

Tech With Emma published a full walkthrough for building a production-ready AI SEO marketing SaaS from scratch. The video runs about 4.5 hours and covers the entire stack, from database setup to Stripe billing to final deployment.

What Gets Built

The finished app includes AI keyword research, competitor discovery, brand visibility tracking inside AI search results (ChatGPT and Gemini), citation and mention tracking, content opportunity suggestions, saved report history, and a modern landing page. Light and dark mode are included out of the box.

Background jobs handle the heavy lifting so reports run asynchronously with real-time progress updates. Usage limits and feature locks enforce the plan tiers, and Stripe subscriptions manage billing end to end.

Tech Stack

  • Next.js for the full-stack framework
  • MongoDB and Prisma for the database layer
  • Better Auth for authentication
  • Trigger.dev for background jobs
  • Bright Data for web scraping
  • Stripe for subscriptions and billing
  • Codex with GPT-5.6 Sol for AI-powered reports
  • TestSprite CLI for pre-production testing and verification

How the Tutorial Is Structured

The timestamps break into discrete phases, so you can jump to the section you care about most: MongoDB and Prisma setup starts at 18 minutes, the keyword research API and background job section runs from roughly 1:43 to 2:59, and Stripe billing lands at the 4:27 mark. Source code is available on GitHub.

If you’re looking to understand how AI visibility tracking (specifically tracking brand mentions inside ChatGPT and Gemini responses) fits into a real SaaS architecture, the section starting at 3:17 covers that in detail.
