Run a 7-prompt product launch with ChatGPT and Autoadify MCP

a person holding a cell phone in their hand

Most social media launch workflows are four tools stitched together: a chat tool for ideas, a doc for copy, an image generator, and a scheduler you paste everything into. The time disappears in the handoffs between them.

Connect Autoadify to ChatGPT via MCP and the last two steps collapse into the same conversation. ChatGPT researches, writes, generates images through Autoadify, and schedules posts to your connected accounts. Seven prompts, one thread, nothing published before you read it.

️ What you need

  • ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, or Enterprise (Developer mode required)
  • Autoadify Pro or above (MCP access is on Pro and above)
  • Your social accounts already connected inside Autoadify

Step 1: Connect Autoadify to ChatGPT (2 minutes)

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Add a custom MCP server: name it Autoadify, paste https://mcp.autoadify.com/mcp, and choose OAuth.
  3. Sign in to Autoadify and approve Read, Generate, and Publish permissions.
  4. In a new chat, click + → Developer mode and switch Autoadify on.

Full walkthrough is at autoadify.com/mcp/chatgpt. OpenAI’s own reference is at Developer mode and MCP apps in ChatGPT.

The four-role model

Once connected, ChatGPT runs four jobs in sequence. Each role maps to a specific Autoadify tool or ChatGPT’s own built-in web search.

Prompts 1–2: The researcher

Prompt 1. We’re launching [product] on [date] for [audience]. Search the web for how people describe the problem it solves: forum threads, reviews, competitor pages. Give me the 5 phrases they actually use, and 3 angles nobody in our space is leading with.

Prompt 2. Pick the strongest angle and write a one-paragraph message brief: the claim, the proof, who it’s for, and the one thing we should never say. This brief is what every post has to follow.

The brief is the most important output in the whole workflow. Every post you generate later gets checked against it. Without it, seven posts across seven platforms drift into seven different messages.

Prompts 3–4: The copywriter

Prompt 3. Check which channels I have connected in Autoadify and what each one requires. Then write the launch post for each one from the brief: full version for LinkedIn, under 280 characters for X, a hook-first caption for Instagram, and a conversational version for Threads.

This call pulls list_channels, which returns each connected account and its rules. Instagram requires an image or video. X caps at 280 characters. Reddit needs a subreddit. Writing against the real platform rules is what prevents the “why did this fail to post” problem later.

Prompt 4. Now write two follow-ups for the week after launch: a customer-problem post on day 3 and a behind-the-scenes post on day 6. Same brief, different job.

Prompt 5: The designer

Prompt 5. List the image models and what they cost. Then make one image per post: 4:5 for Instagram, 1:1 for LinkedIn and X. Use [style]. Tell me the total credits before you start.

Before generating anything, ChatGPT calls list_ai_models to return each model’s credit cost and your current balance. The models available, per the source:

  • Nano Banana 2: 5 credits per image, good all-rounder for product shots
  • GPT Image 2: 4 credits per image, handles detailed prompts and text in the image
  • Recraft V4.1 Flash: 1 credit per image, budget option for flat graphics

Seven images on Nano Banana 2 costs 35 credits. Each image lands in your Autoadify media library. Failed generations are refunded.

Prompts 6–7: The publisher

Prompt 6. Save all of these as drafts in Autoadify with the images attached and suggested times: launch day 9am for LinkedIn and X, 12pm for Instagram and Threads, then the two follow-ups. Show me the list when you’re done.

Drafts appear on the Posts page in Autoadify. Nothing is published. You can read, edit, and schedule them there, or return to the chat to make changes.

Prompt 7. I’ve approved the LinkedIn and X drafts. Schedule those two for their suggested times, shorten the Instagram caption by a third, and leave the rest as drafts.

From here, posts run on Autoadify’s scheduler. A day after launch, ask “did yesterday’s posts go out?” and ChatGPT reads each post’s status, live link, and any error message back to you.

Where to keep a human in the loop

  • Approve the brief first, not just the posts. If the brief is wrong, every post built from it is wrong too.
  • Default to drafts. Use the word “drafts” in every prompt until you trust the flow. ChatGPT also asks for confirmation before running any tool that changes something.
  • Check credits before generating images. Ask for the total upfront. Images spend your Autoadify credits, and the prompt-5 pattern does this automatically.
  • Limit permissions if you’re cautious. Approve the connection without the Publish permission and ChatGPT can prepare everything but schedule nothing.

Platforms Autoadify supports

Through the connected accounts in your Autoadify dashboard, ChatGPT can schedule or publish to: Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest, and Reddit. It cannot post to any platform directly on its own.

No API key is needed. ChatGPT authenticates to Autoadify via OAuth when you add the connector. API keys are only relevant if you’re building your own code integrations.
