Two-thirds of B2C marketing teams missed at least one cultural moment in the past year because they couldn’t react fast enough. That stat comes from Klaviyo’s 2026 Match Day Ready Report, and it frames the central problem the report tries to solve.
The answer Klaviyo is pushing is called vibe marketing: a process where humans describe their creative intent and AI handles asset creation, channel sequencing, segment definition, testing, and launch. Of the marketers surveyed, 54% believe it could help them move faster, and 25% are already using or exploring it.
Here are the four trends the report identified.
1. Always-on activation replaces calendar-based planning
Right now, only 1 in 4 marketers can react to a viral moment within 6 hours. Just 16% can get a full activation live within 2 hours. The report finds teams are already shifting away from rigid pre-planned calendars toward real-time responses, with planned activations making up a smaller share of the mix.
The report also found that only 28% of brands have defined guidelines for which cultural moments are on-brand for them to join. That gap slows decisions and costs time when a trend is moving fast.
2. AI moves from content generator to collaborator
42% of teams already use AI for content generation in cultural moment activations, making it the top AI use case across regions. Another 35% say AI-assisted content creation is the single biggest accelerator for faster activation.
The report argues the next step is using AI for analysis, not just output. That means querying campaign history in plain language, auditing flows end to end for drop-off and timing gaps, and getting proactive recommendations on what past successful campaigns had in common.

3. Cross-channel coordination gets easier to automate
40% of marketers say their channels are fully coordinated around cultural moments, and 51% say they’re mostly coordinated. Social media (organic or paid) leads as the top-performing channel at 46%, nearly three times the 16% who named email second.
The report’s pitch here is that vibe marketing automates the channel mix and sequencing decisions, including when to follow up via SMS after an ignored email, or when to push a loyalty program offer after a first purchase.
4. Teams can pressure-test activations before full launch
More than half of brands attribute 10 to 20% of their marketing revenue to cultural moments, and 21% attribute more than 20%. With stakes that high, testing matters.
The report recommends using AI to build multiple creative concepts, run single-channel tests with smaller, highly engaged audiences, and test broad categories of calls to action before scaling. The goal is figuring out whether a given moment calls for brand awareness or a direct sales push before committing the full audience send.
